We have two speakers who are experts in this field providing an introduction to the topic and why it is such a valuable and exciting technology.

Marilene Pavan is the Synthetic Biology Strategy Manager at LanzaTech, a company using bioreactors to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Morgan Richards is the Product and Tokenomics Lead at ValleyDAO, a group working to finance and decentralize synthetic biology.

Kate described an overview of transformative technology by building a cell from bottom-up approach. This key technology could be adapted for various applications ranging of novel therapeutic development and on-demand manufacturing in the space habitat. Then, we discussed the possible trajectories to implement these technologies for African community.
