MISSION
Synthetic Biology promises to provide sustainable solutions for many grand challenges of the modern society via innovations in agriculture, energy, nutrition, diagnostics, therapeutics, and bioremediation. Although Synthetic Biology has secured a global stance, Africa as a continent is still behind, especially in the technology and educational aspects.
Our mission is to awaken the sleeping genius within Africa by providing accessible, high-quality education that meets international standards in both theoretical and practical skills.

ADVANCE SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY LITERACY
African students are disadvantaged because African curricula usually lack equipment and educators on the practical SynBio field. SynBio4ALL Africa aims to advance Synthetic Biology literacy levels among African students by introducing innovative synthetic biology curricula in schools across Africa.

APPLY SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY TO SOLVE GLOBAL CHALLENGES
SynBio4ALL aims to enable African students to develop new synthetic biology innovations which will solve global challenges relevant to Africa, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and emerging infectious disease.

PROMOTE GOVERNMENT SUPPORT FOR SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY IN AFRICA
SynBio4ALL will encourage African governments to provide support for young synthetic biologists and the African bioeconomy. We plan to engage African governments to introduce synthetic biology undergraduate and master's courses and provide funding for community-based labs with scientific equipment.

CONNECT AFRICAN SYNBIO COMMUNITY WITH THE INTERNATIONAL PARTNER
The team and ambassadors at SynBio4ALL Africa will work as a bridge between African SynBio community with the international partners across the globe. With this effort, we aim to make shared resources and technologies built within the African and partnered community accessible to everyone at no cost.
